If you're unfamiliar with [livejournal.com profile] writerinadrawer, it's a Torchwood-centric, round-based last writer standing contest. I've been involved since Round One, I'm playing in Round Three, and I sincerely think it's one of the coolest things that happens in the fandom. We love for people who aren't playing to read and vote, so please go check it out.

The way it works is that competitors write each week to a prompt, and then the entries are posted anonymously and subjected to a public vote. The story with the highest score at the end of voting wins the week, while the story (or stories, as sometimes we eliminate multiples) with the lowest gets the contestant "drawered" down in the depths of the Hub.

Our first batch of stories for challenge 3.01 - 100 word drabble, include a zoo animal - went up yesterday afternoon. There's an impressive range of stories here, from stuff that could be pre-series if you squint to some set post-CoE. You can find them here and here. Voting is open until 6 PM US Central time on Sunday, July 19th. Check the voting post for details. I also recommend checking the voting faq post, since there are some guidelines in there that help us keep things fair.
